Prelude 06:04
(Instrumental)

Out of the ashes Humanity born into kingdoms on Earth choices are left to the strongest of all Into tomorrow Eternity lays heavy burden What kind of course do we take to survive How can we learn to forgive If history’s not on our side How can we gain from dismissing our past A force now to keep us in line Only by leaving the past can we truly arrive Only by losing our way can we ever survive Only unlearning the truth will we overcome lies Only in death can we find out the meaning in life Shock revelations Renew all attempts to return to an innocent Phase, Soon to decay down to ritual and rite The recurrent cycle Salvation that withers away Damned, by our treachery, bought back to life…
3.
Denial 05:55
Here in the Skies We stare down your actions and thoughts you deny Lengthened shadows prevail in your kingdoms of light Hiding all but the truths that are easy to find Making Promises end Making Promises History until all that is left is a sense of denial Here in the dust We question and judge your indifference to us Seperation disputes our connection to all you’ve made But if that’s what you meant By leaving our worldly possessions behind Then there’s no other choice but Breaking our land and destroying our ways Making Promises end Making Promises History until all that is left is a sense of release Here In The Dust Where broken and shattered are fragments of our mighty Reign, A fickle resemblance of prophecy made by our kind Our hope will remain That we’ll build our empires to burn them again Like the tide we forget our past and return to dominions that one day are destined to fall

Theme 01:57
(Instrumental)
5.
Verse I remember the times you fell short, Of the morals you claimed to enforce, Your mistakes that you fail to admit that you punish yourselves in the dark of your minds Well recorded are deeds like your own, Well shown in-comprehensible evil Would I do the same had I been there, would the crimes that you bear be the same shackled burden on me Chorus Would you do it again? Make your profit in war Would you do it again? Make a slave of free men Would you do it again? Run blind into the breach For your sanity’s sake would you really go through it Would you do it again? Be your lands mortal god Would you do it again? Sell your souls to fames claws Would you do it again? Take our lives in your hands Would you do it again if you had one more chance Verse When you look back through vaults of the past Disbelief reigns on fear that was sown in the day That one man in true power could choose to Deploy death on wings to tyrannical minds Chorus Would you do it again? Sow your seeds of decay Would you do it again? Death that lasts to this day Would you do it again? Beauty ripped from the land For your sanity’s sake would you really go through it Would you do it again? Be your lands mortal god Would you do it again? Sell your souls to fames claws Would you do it again? Take our lives in your hands Would you do it again if you had one more chance Chorus

1000 Days 05:08
Verse Time to say goodbye To all we’ve ever known Though ravaged is our land I greive to see it go The warnings were banished to skeptical cries It seems none had listened to reason this time Chorus Take me away for 1000 days To rebuild the land it it’s peril to stay Keep me from harm ’till my time is done And I’ll be back again Verse Our journey has begun Escaping from the fire We brought upon ourselves So many left behind The Ark hides the wealthy and strongest of minds It’s haven entombing their bodies from light Chorus Bridge Don’t you fear about saying goodbye I’ll be here when you return Think of me while you’re out in the stars Three years while we helplessly watch the world burn Chorus
8.
Verse I have lost my way I’m navigating by the stars My destination anywhere but Here, We escaped from a dying world But we’re drifting away from the home we destroyed We’re never going back to what we used to know We should return and rebuild our past We’re never going back to see what the world’s be-come Chorus So rise from the earth, and Leave it behind To new destinations we Cast doubt aside We’ll travel so far We’ll forget why we came To find a new home in the stars Into The Void! Verse 2 Someone hear my cry We’re lost in dark confinement and Their promise to return was cast aside We’re sailing without a cause And I think we should turn back before all is Lost We should be going back to what we used to know We won’t survive, you know we’ll never last We should be going back to see our world again Chorus Final Chorus We fly through the dark, To Find a new home For ever we search but There’s nowhere to go The only hope left To return to the start And find our old home in the stars Into The Void!
9.
(Instrumental)

The Return 04:50
Waiting for a sign I’m made to watch the skies For the return Of my long lost love Years passed since the day That we were left behind To survive In this barren land Since you went away The earth has healed again And we’re stronger than once before If you come to my side Unlikely as it seems You will not rule us any more If you return To me You’ll serve us for all of time Then from the skies hellfire falls Like a star in the night The dust clears from the descent Hopes and fears come to life There on burning ground The ark that holds my heart It’s cargo safe and sound But will they come in peace? Fear not beloved one I’ve come back to take my place To reign supreme once again I’ve returned

Finale 07:38

about

2 Years in the making, an album covering a broad spectrum of sounds, classical and progressive, yet rooted in a foundation of Rock and Metal. Acid Empire is an album with many surprises and abundant diversity.
Acid Empire began as the solo project of Season’s End bassist Mike Bridge, an idea formed by the result of a one off show with the band and a live symphonic orchestra, the idea was to include the orchestra as a more prominent part of the music, allowing the intricacy of orchestral score to add another dimension to the epic nature of the metal genre.
The music was to be a blend of dramatic film score styled orchestral passages and heavy, guitar focused rock music with the freedom for solos and themes to develop throughout the album.
Vocally, it was to be just as diverse, with the lead role to be shared between the provoking male vocals of Jack Lipinski and the soulful female vocals of Hannah Bridge.
Coupled with the featured vocals of one of the most known and loved voices in the UK metal genre; Damian Wilson, the overall effect of this album is one of apocalyptic intensity, memorable melody lines develop into unsettling dissonances but resolve into invigorating endings.

about

Acid Empire Guildford, UK

'Listening to Acid Empire is almost like sitting on the lawn of the Philadelphia Art Museum and listening to the Philadelphia Orchestra perform while fireworks explode in the sky above you.
Almost, because of one notable exception- no Acid Empire to complete the musical score! That is because Acid Empire has created symphonic metal in the purest of forms- with a symphonic orchestra' - Danteprog
